Kathmandu — Nepali film ‘Behuli’ is set for a nationwide theatrical release on September 11 (Bhadra 26), coinciding with the Hartalika Teej festival. The release date was announced during a special event in Kathmandu, where the film’s first-look poster was officially unveiled.

The poster hints at an intense love story shaped by emotional conflict and social struggle. Actor Paras Bam Thakuri (Coolboy) appears with a serious expression and handcuffs on his wrist, while actress Divya Rayamajhi, dressed as a bride in a traditional red wedding outfit, rests her head peacefully on his chest with her eyes closed. The powerful visual suggests a relationship tested by difficult circumstances.

The photograph was captured by Shridhar Poudel, while the poster was designed by Royal Bhimsen of Trident Concept.

At the launch event, Paras and Divya recreated the poster in front of the media. Divya appeared in full bridal attire, while Paras wore handcuffs, drawing significant attention from journalists and guests.

The film also stars Sushant Karki in a leading role. After making his big-screen debut with ‘Hostel 3’, Paras returns in a mature romantic role opposite Divya. The fresh on-screen pairing has already generated interest among younger audiences.

‘Behuli’ reunites the creative team behind ‘Hostel 3’, with Sashan Kandel directing a story written by Madhav Sharma. Sudip Kunwar serves as the chief assistant director, while Yogendra Karki and Marlov Dhungana are assistant directors.

The supporting cast includes Padam Tamang, Santosh Baniya, Sarita Giri, Bishal Pahari, Karma Lama, Deepak Gauli, Bimal Yadav, Abiral Shrestha, Sabin Kattel and Samayara Thapa Magar.

The technical crew features cinematographer Narendra Mainali, editor Bikash Dahal, action director Roshan Shrestha, and music composer Arjun Pokharel. The film is produced by Pratap Shamsher Rana, with Shankar Koirala and Ramesh Silwal as executive producers.
